Monthly Project Report Amena Mobile Clinic for October 2025 – Kabul
This report presents the October 2025 activities and achievements of the Kabul Mobile Clinic, operated by the Afghanistan Green Crescent Organization (AGCO). It provides an overview of the clinic’s healthcare services, patient statistics, and key public health interventions implemented during the month, reflecting AGCO’s continued efforts to deliver primary and emergency healthcare services to underserved and displaced populations in Kabul Province
Narrative
The Kabul Mobile Clinic, managed by AGCO, continues to provide vital health services to vulnerable communities, internally displaced families, and informal settlement residents across various districts of Kabul Province. The initiative aims to ensure equitable access to essential healthcare, focusing on women, children, and individuals with limited access to medical facilities.
During October 2025, the mobile clinic conducted regular outreach visits to targeted communities, registering and treating 3,624 clinical cases among 2,720 beneficiaries, including 597 children and 3,027 adults, with 741 male and 2,883 female patients. The most prevalent diseases recorded included respiratory infections (cough and cold, pneumonia), gastrointestinal disorders (acute watery and bloody diarrhea, peptic diseases), skin infections, musculoskeletal and hypertensive conditions, and mental health disorders.
The clinic also delivered 288 maternal and reproductive health services, including antenatal, postnatal, and family planning consultations. These services focused on promoting safe motherhood, reproductive health awareness, and preventive care for women of reproductive age.
As part of its preventive health measures, AGCO, in collaboration with the Afghanistan Islamic Medical Association (AIMA) and with medicine support from Direct Relief, implemented a public health awareness campaign on mosquito-borne and skin diseases. This campaign included health education sessions on vector control, hygiene promotion, and the safe use of insect repellents, responding to community requests and contributing to disease prevention during seasonal changes.
The Kabul Mobile Clinic continues to serve as an essential component of AGCO’s health outreach program, ensuring the provision of quality healthcare, disease prevention, and health education to vulnerable and displaced families in Kabul’s urban and peri-urban communities.
